Thérèse: Yes, I did kind of have those pictures in mind. His are photographic manipulations, juxtapositions of Paris scenes and real-life war zones, but what I liked here was the suggestion of war in a contemporary Paris scene. Given the current events, it seemed like an apt time to remind people of such images. Of course there is also the Zoo Project person who has lost his head, but I wouldn’t want to presuppose the message that they want to pass on!
