Live action from the Nuit Blanche event in Belleville! It seemed for a long time as if it may be a wet night rather than a white night, but finally the weather is dry and warm. This of course has brought the crowds out, meaning long queues for certain sites (Ecole d'Architecture). No queuing for me though - I'm more interested in capturing the atmosphere of the event!
Yay, Adam! These are the first photos to be posted (among all the Paris blogs I know). I am definitely going to plan on a Paris trip en octobre...
ReplyDeleteMerci!
Genie
Lucky you!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, thanks Adam.
ReplyDeletewish I had seen those massive white tubes...thanks for the pictutes though!
ReplyDeleteWe had a good time in Belleville. The only two we saw were the tubes in the windows of the drawing school/architecture school/whatever that building is that you have pictured there, and the chandelier van in Parc de Belleville. It was a hopping place to be, and yes, the lines were happening, too.
ReplyDeleteI posted photos on my blog a couple of days ago, Genie -- I'm Paris Paul's OH. :) I have some at Flickr here, too, if anyone is interested: La Nuit Blanche 2010.
I have to say, though, I kind of liked last year's a little better when there were several displays in the Parc des Buttes Chaumont. It was kind of nice to just wander within the park and see a lot of things in one spot. I would have liked to have seen more displays than we did, but getting around to them and then waiting in line was a pain, I thought. It's still a great concept, though.
