Lovely phrasing , some walls should to be allowed to be silent (if I'm remembering it correctly). Oh, graffitti is like everything else, there are degrees of talent, and places where it's definitely a visual improvement. I'd vote for some kind of mural on the nursery, but maybe less typicallyArtSparkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04875996639432864367noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7725154806633928919.post-27217516413691490252009-01-24T00:20:00.000+01:002009-01-24T00:20:00.000+01:00Hope you are feeling better, Adam!Perhaps the chil...Hope you are feeling better, Adam!
Perhaps the child was just trying to wipe off wet paint from his hand on the wall instead of onto his pants!
Re your comment on my "Wolf at the wall" post, it could very well be a trompe-l'oeil...sure fooled me! A vrai dire, j'étais malade cette semaine, à court de sujet et coincé à la maison, mais j'ai trouvé quatre photos dans ma collection que je trouvais avaient un vrai lien. Mais en effet, c'est la main qui m'avait marqué le plus.Adamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06453626318828119830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7725154806633928919.post-6479275173824065402009-01-23T12:54:00.000+01:002009-01-23T12:54:00.000+01:00Looking at old postcards, from about 1900, it's am...Looking at old postcards, from about 1900, it's amazing to see how all walls were covered by publicity. Actually, our walls are cleaner today than then.

I'm of course against what you may call vandalism graffiti or tagging, but there are also good examples where empty walls (the next building is "missing") are nicely decorated.

What I regret is of course a lack of respect for PeterParishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09694538476960957295noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7725154806633928919.post-90106139841717869672009-01-22T21:18:00.000+01:002009-01-22T21:18:00.000+01:00Interesting post, love the blog :)Interesting post, love the blog :)JStevensonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05780183228719001381noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7725154806633928919.post-74040534920778640702009-01-22T19:57:00.000+01:002009-01-22T19:57:00.000+01:00I think we feel the need to leave our imprint, how...I think we feel the need to leave our imprint, however small, because subconsciously we know our time here is limited.
