So I checked my records and found that he had designed one of the most interesting structures I encountered during my tour of the concrete churches of Paris in May, 2013. It's the Eglise du Saint-Esprit at 186 avenue Daumesnil, Paris. I spent about an hour in there absorbing the otherworldly atmosphere and taking some photos (now on my Flickr account). Looks like an odd mix of the latest reinforced concrete and traditional form - a touch of Le Raincy plus a dash of Gothic Le Mans. Thanks also for the link to the old newspaper sites - Pandora's Box...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7725154806633928919.post-22635102979919777962014-07-30T19:37:26.642+02:002014-07-30T19:37:26.642+02:00I love the way almost any search leads on to somet...I love the way almost any search leads on to something fascinating. Start with a postcard and end up with queens, beaches, and casinos turned into churches. Thanks for a thoroughly fascinating read.Philippahttp://parisianfields.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
